The mission of the Dunn Foundation is to advance the understanding and practice of classical liberalism, market capitalism, free enterprise, individual political and economic liberty and to reduce the impact of the use of threat of force by coercive organizations (both public and private) against the people of America and the World, principally through education and persuasion.
All grants made by the Foundation must be for purposes consistent with the mission as stated above. As a 501(c)(3) private foundation, the Dunn Foundation also operates in accordance with all IRS guidelines including the more general restrictions on the use of grant funds for charitable purposes. Thus, before being considered for any grant according to the Foundation's own mission and vision, an organization would first need to qualify as a 501(c)(3) public charity or equivalent organization per IRS guidelines which define charitable purposes.
At the present time, The Dunn Foundation does not accept any unsolicited applications or letters of inquiry. Should The Dunn Foundation be interested in learning more about your organization, you will be contacted directly and/or invited to submit a formal application for consideration. LOIs and applications are reviewed intermittently on a rolling basis, and an invitation to submit an application implies no guarantee of funding.
